Bus People, 2015

James Laing

U.S.A, 1978

performance held everyday from 7AM to 1AM

This performance art piece by James Laing reflects his view on our over-individualized, closed society. Laing closely examines the ‘bus people’. The performers form a group of individuals, all stuck in another world, removed from their immediate environment. They stare into their phones as if gazing into an infinite middle space. The bus is not coming, but this is irrelevant. Scan the QR code to listen to James Laing guide you through his piece.
